When innovative start-up Chargemetrix wanted to launch their remote battery monitoring system for boats, they turned to 50North Marketing.
Like all new companies, Chargemetrix had a very tight budget and a need for serious ‘bang for their buck’. The key requirement was to raise awareness as widely as possible, then to demonstrate credibility.
Using our extensive media contacts and traditional PR skills we obtained coverage in a wide range of marine publications, from Boating Business to Sea Angler and Yachting Monthly to Powerboat & RIB. The publications delivered an immediate impact on sales – both direct, through the Chargemetrix website, and in the recruitment of UK and overseas distributors.
Selected journalists were invited to test the Chargemetrix system on their own boats, and the resulting unbiased reviews have delivered the requested credibility boost.
Future phases include a social media campaign and further traditional media relations work.
